Michael has gone to a wedding sooooooo today the ponies and I rest! Yesterday we had an early morning training slot so we were able to take the train to Frankfurt for a couple of hours. For training we did Max and Ben in dressage. And surprise to me they were excellent so Michael thinks that this may be my new dressage pair. A few adjustments(as usual) and off we go. Thursday was hazard training day with Max and Cisco. Very tight and technical hazards so much was learned on how to get them done. Max and Cisco were excellent. In the last hazard I was not so sure of our path so Michael says "follow me", he ran, I drove...needed this training method on tape! Cisco had Friday off so we were done by @11:30. Got on the train after taking a while to figure out the ticket machine...tickets in hand we board the train...good....then much to our surprise after a couple of stops the train reverses and we went back to our starting point...oops!!!!! So off we get and regroup and see from the RR map that we need to change trains...OK..we start again...changed trains and actually got to the main Banhof(train station) in Frankfurt. Crowds of people, a little bit like the old Times Square! We walked, sky getting darker and darker and then the down pour started......stood in shelter a while and then decided to cab it to a restaurant....done! Drenched, we went to Adolf Wagner, a restaurant that serves local specialties and typical German fare. Herring and boiled potatoes for me, Wienerschnitzel for Andy, fried fish of the day for Addison and Goulash for Amy...yum! Sun came out and now to get back home.......walked lunch and window shopped until we got to the gelato store where we had to stop..that done ..on to the train...and now which train?...what was the name of our stop?...no map and soooooo many choices....we got it figured out and now which track? down the escalator, up the escalator....ask people...and finally a map on the wall behind the trains and off we went...Andy and Addison drove the train!
follow the Trout Walk Team of Wendy O'Brien, Andy, Amy and Addison Cross, Ben, Cisico and Max as we train with Michael Freund in Dreieich, Germany
